How To Repair Sticking BMW Vario Panniers
Переглядів 10 тис.2 роки тому
The BMW adventure bike Vario Panniers have a tendency to stop easily moving from compact to expanded over time. I think it's because the plastic shrinks from Sun exposure. This quick fix solves the problem. All you need is a good sawzall or some metal tin snips.

Stewart Copeland’s brother…😊
Thanks for the videos! I bought a used Speed King pedal and it needs all these mods. On mine, the heal plate is reverse of what yours is and also the screw and weird washer underneath are missing, which makes it easy to change from one side to the other.
Is it normal for the servos to not turn on immediately when I turn the ignition on after this process?
Nevermind, I cleaned the connection and it’s working now.
bro thank you so much
You're welcome!
I just built the top today after watching this. I will do the bottom tomorrow with more time. I like the cutout so I can put my shop chair in there
Sounds great!
My caps popped off on their own. Lol

I made a brace between the posts to keep them from spreading. If you know, you know. Unfortunately I can't post a pic.

Yes.

How long should the breather hoses at the top of carbs. 2 of .
Could you give me approximate dimensions of the clip? I don't have a 3d printer but I plan on making one with a small piece of plastic I have.
About 19 x 25 mm
@@HackaweekTV thank you so much
Any plans for new videos? Would love it
Yes... new house, new deluxe workshop. Soon...
@@HackaweekTV Thats great I will be looking forward to it!
On the F2 you try first the inner screw...if nothing helps than you go for the outer...
Only one LED is not enough. If the Transistor is off a bit, than you get missreadings. Simply use a bright flashlight.
Hi deane. I dont know if this is still open .I was trying to adjust throttle cables but I am on the last thread at handgrip and carb end . Is it ok to adjust the housing that lines up and puls the cable I adjusted the offset pin that stops the return cable . It has given me enough , as long as I'm doing no harm .for the same carbs as this video . Cheers jamie Newzealand.
Yes, it is
@@HackaweekTV thankyou for replying and understanding what I was explaining . And it's been suggested that top breather hoses near top of carbs ,two of them should go up over and passed the battery. Atm they just run down to the swingarm . Thorts ?
10:29 ✈😆
Sometimes it's like a conspiracy! :)
Well done !!!!
Thanks.
Hi , Excellent video! Very specific, but I would go crazy removing so many screws. I have a 2008 Mini Cooper and they did this same job for me where they install radios. If I had seen your video before, maybe I would have done it. Not all of us have the same ability .
Nearly all the screws are the same. Only two are different.
Well done bud 😁👏👍🤝🏍🏆🇬🇧🇺🇸
Do I need to re-sync the carb if I remove it and clean it up??
No because there's only one carburetor. You only synchronize them when there's more than one. (:
Should have typed 1200 not 2200 GS 😅 thanks again
No problem 👍
Thank you so much for this video I was having problems with my 2007 2200 GS rear brake not working after I tried to bleed followed your tutorial and bled abs unit have rear brake again 👍👍
Glad it helped

Thanks for circuit...😊
Really glad I found your channel- so much good information. Thanks!!!

give it notebook ssd drives and wifi
give him larger tracks
give him a working solar panel
love it! thanks for the info
Problem is, you are measuring the width of the curtain slit AND the width of the sensor. As the 'shutter speed' gets faster (it does not, shutter moves at the same speed) the slit narrows (which causes shorter exposure, not the shutter mech moving faster) the ratio of slot width to sensor width decreases, thus you get a greater and greater error as 'speed' increases. e.g for a flash sync of 1/30s on a 35mm camera, slot width will be 36mm & sensor width, say 2mm. At 1/500s. slot with will be 2.25mm (36/2 =18 18/2=9 9/2=4.5 4.5/2=2.25mm) so at 1/500s, sensor is almost as wide as the slit. A single sensor will also not show the curtain speeds. there are two curtains, which need to move at the speed stated in the repair manual, to give correct exposure and they both must travel at the same speed.
You are right. The good testers have two sensors. BUT, this one will at least tell you if you are close and it's cheap to build.
@@HackaweekTV Indeed. It might also encourage others to get into the world of Arduino I use EPS32 now, on the Arduino platform. Only a few £ more but gives much more versatility and speed. Normally, a camera is tested without the lens. By doing this and taking separate readings from both left and right side of the lens mount, one can see if the exposure is even across the frame. Adding a mask in front of the sensor will improve accuracy at higher shutter speeds. Try a mask with 0.8mm hole. I used the Arduino laser tx & rx module. Laser gives a nice collimated light source and the rx has built in Schmitt trigger and amplifier. My tester became a monster. Three sensors, to show exposure balance across the frame & to measure curtain speeds. Connection to flash socket to test sync speed. 4" TFT colour screen. Full diagnosis, showing rolling average, nearest, deviation from centre etc. Once you start programming with Arduino, you just can't stop 😀
Got one the same.
I still have this one and plan to repair it one day.
@@HackaweekTV I've got a small metal arvin that needs chroming, how can i remove the dial numbers label without bending it or ripping it?
How the parachute deploy itself ?
At the end of the thrust burn there is a small explosive charge that ignites. When this happens it produces hot expanding gasses that propel the fire proof tissue, nose cone and parachute away from the rocket tube.
I really like my Spotmatic F cameras, that I own since more than twelve years. They are dependable photographic workhorses, which I recently tested with a modern shutter tester ressembling to yours. The fast speeds are a bit off tolerance. I did not know that a little bit of adjustment, like what you have demonstrated, could be enough to bring them back into check. I will definetly try your method. I already had this Pentax camera maintenance manual PDF, but I was a bit afraid of the complexity of the process. You made it feel more manageable. Thank you for the detailed and well captured stream of advice. 👍
You're welcome and thanks for watching.
Thanks so much for this video. I recently bought a vintage Speed King that was so full of gunk that the footboard wouldn't move at all, and your excellent video showed me how to bring it back to life. It's now the smoothest pedal I own. I added one trick. The bushings at the base of the footboard were worn through, so instead of replacing them with new bushings, I used a step bit to drill out the holes to 3/8", and then installed 1/4" ID x 3/8" OD ball bearings. There's no more slop in the hinge, and it pivots very smoothly. Thanks again! Couldn't have done it without you.
Great fix! Thanks for watching.
you left the valve stem locking nut inside the wheel? it is supposed to have both nuts on outside of rim set right under the valve cap or hand tight on the rim & locked with each other.
Good catch.
Thanks brother
You're welcome. Thanks for watching.
Hi. Just how long could the level be before the curvature of the planet effects it?
As long as the hose... it would not affect it. It's always relative to the earths gravity.
hello can i use this one for my cr10 v3 also thanks in advange
I think so.
Fantastically demonstrated--thank-you
Glad it was helpful!
I wanted to say thank you for making this condensed video! I just purchased my 2005 r1200gs that was wrecked. I am going thru the brake system now. I bled the abs unit as shown, but having put a new battery in, and turning the key to on, it'll start and run but I don't hear or feel the abs pump turning on. The abs light shows red on the top left blinker control, but it the unit simply does not run. I think Im at the removal and bypass stage. Regardless, you video has been incredibly helpful getting me up to speed. It was very easy to pull the tank off and bleed those 6 in the proper order. Much appreciated!
The light blinks until you move a bit, then it activates.
The original Berthas had balsa nose cones and a longer engine tube, which traveled about halfway up inside the main body tube. This helped to pressurize the ejection charge much better so chute failure was kept to a minimum. Since they changed the engine mount tube to a standard 2 and 3/4 inch tube, parachute failure is much more frequent because there's so much more area inside to pressurize.
I really did like the older kits better. Getting that nose cone to be a perfectly smooth surface was a point of pride. You are absolutely right about the engine tube length.
why cook egg first?
Taste better? I allows the yolk to be cooked then it will emit the sulfur as it sets.
